About Me
My journey from chaos to clarity began in 2012. I was deployed to Afghanistan as an Army attorney and I discovered the calmness of minimalism. When I returned to my quarters at the end of day, I had a sense of peace. Although I was in a combat zone, I was surrounded by just what I needed and what made me happy: my few personal belongings and photos of my family. Everything had a place and everything was in its place.
Redeploying to my amazing family in summer 2013, I wanted to bring that calmness to my chaotic family of five. When my husband mentioned his co-workers were talking about the Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, I went out the next day and got a copy. I began to practice the KonMari Method™ and decided to become a consultant when I retired from the Army.
After practicing as a KonMari Consultant, I’ve learned that decluttering and organizing can truly be live-changing! I’ve helped people at all stages of life — from organizing to get ready for a new baby to organizing to downsize into a retirement home. Organizing as part of Estate Planning gives clients a peace of mind that they won’t burden their family with what to do with their possessions when they are gone.
When one of my client’ mother passed away, I assisted her to get her mother’s home ready to sell. I have personally experienced losing a parent and I know the challenges - both physically and emotionally - of deciding what items to keep. I am available to assist with specific organizing projects, to include downsizing, estate planning, pre-move and post-move organizing.
